Educational entrance examination
Entrance examination is an examination that educational institutions conduct to select prospective students for admission. It may be held at any stage of education, from primary to tertiary, even though it is typically held at tertiary stage. Due to intense competition it is a challenge thrown towards aspirants of respective disciplines to prove their capability for admission to the course. Entrance examination is used as yard stick to measure depth of knowledge possessed by an individual related to any particular field.
There are many competitive exams in India which you can appear after 12th or after graduation. Depending on Science/Commerce/Arts stream, you will have to choose which competitive exam to appear for admission to degree course. As well you need to decide whether you wish to go for government or a private sector job. This will be one of the factor you need to include while deciding which competitive exam you want to appear.
It is important for to know your aptitude, innate capabilities, emotional quotient, interests, likings, strengths, weaknesses, etc. Any career choice should be determined based on these aspects only and not randomly
All the entrance examinations have minimum eligibility criteria for appearing the exam & every aspirant has to satisfy it. Every course has different minimum educational qualification criteria, eg, commerce intermediate can not qualify for science related entrance examination. There may or may not be any age criteria, There nature & stages of entrance differ from each other, some are computer based, some are offline, some have Interview selection, some have group discussions, Aspirants have to clear all the stages to seek admission for the course & convert his dream into reality by successfully completing the course
